Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actress best recognized for her role as House in Fox's the medical thriller House. Following her upbringing by conservative Jews in Wayne, New York City was where she set her sights to study acting at Tisch. She was very active in the clubs in the city of New York, and did enough to get recognized by the media. In the meantime, she was becoming more conscious of AIDS its devastating consequences. She utilised both her experience in the music industry and public recognition to make and appear in a musical of her own, Positive Me. Then she was employed by MTV to be the host of Awake On The Wild Side. Once it went off the air, she began appearing in TV and films at first in small roles and gradually established herself as an actor.
