Kelly Clarkson (American singer/songwriter) is a well-known American following her win on American Idol's first season. It was not just the win that catapulted Kelly Clarkson into the limelight as it also secured her an arrangement in partnership with RCA Records 19 Recordings & "S Records" for a series of albums. In the years since her debut in the series, she has released a number of albums. Of those albums three made it to the top of the US Billboard 200. The other albums came near the top. She is one of the most successful artists to come out of her participation in the American Idol series. When she was successful, she explored a variety of topics and styles of music, often writing her own songs of her own feelings. Her work was praised by critics and numerous important awards for her creativity and vocal talent. The Grammy Award is her most famous recognition.
