Amanda Blake

Amanda Blake, born as Beverly Louise Neill, was famous American actor. She was best recognized for her role as Miss Kitty Russell in the TV series Gunsmoke. Apart from that actress, she's appeared on TV shows like "The Red Skelton Show", "Tattletales" and "The Edge of Night". In addition, Blake starred in dozens of other films including Stars In My Crown, Duchess of Idaho,?Cattle Town,?Miss Robin Crusoe,?"About Mrs. Leslie",?The Adventures of Hajji Baba,??High Society? And The Boost What?. Blake was a former telephone operator as well as a passionate animal lover loved animals. Along with her spouse Frank Gilbert, was one of the first humans to successfully breed cheetahs in captivity. In addition, the American actor was one of the co-founders of the Arizona Animal Welfare League (AAWL). Blake was also a committee member for the Humane Society of the United States. Blake was a member of the Hall of Great Western Performers of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Blake was awarded a Courage Award by the American Cancer Society.
