
Pichai Sundararajan, better known as Sundar Picha is an Indian-American business executive. He is the chief executive officer (CEO), of Alphabet Inc.'s subsidiary Google. Born in Madurai, India.[4] Pichai graduated from IIT Kharagpur with a degree in metallurgical engineer. He obtained an M.S. in the United States after relocating to the United States. When he moved to the United States where he completed an M.S. in materials science and engineering from Stanford University. After a brief stint with McKinsey, Pichai moved to Google in 2004. At Google, he was responsible for the development of Google Drive and was also responsible for the management of products and innovations. Pichai also supervised the creation of Google Maps, Gmail, and other applications. Pichai announced WebM in 2010 and also announced the open-sourcing of the new codec for video VP8 developed by Google. In 2012 the Chromebook was introduced. Pichai also included Android to the Google products that he managed in 2013.
