Rosie Perez was born Rosa Maria Perez 6 September 1964. She is an American actress. Her breakout role as Tina in Do the Right Thing (1989) was followed by White Men Can't jump (1992). Perez's performance as Tina in Fearless (1993) was rewarded with her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Her starring film roles in the past include It Could Happen to You (1994), The Road to El Dorado (2000), Pineapple Express (2008) and Birds of Prey (2020).Perez earned three Primetime Emmy Award nominations for In Living Color (1990-1994) and another Emmy nomination for her role in the film The Flight Attendant (2020-present). Her roles have included Broadway stage plays like The Ritz and Frankie, Johnny in the Clair de Lune and Fish in the Dark. In the 18th season, she was also a cohost on ABC's talk show The View. She was a student at Grover Cleveland High School, in the Ridgewood neighborhood of Queens. [11] In 1999 her mother was in poverty in Woodside Houses when she died from AIDS-related complications.
